Many may know Ace Chemicals as the birth of the mysterious villain known as the Joker.  But many do not know that this area of Gotham is much more.  The creation of the Batman in Crime Alley.  The dangerously fascinating Iceberg Lounge, and the vats of glowing green toxic chemicals.  Many heroes and villains populate this city, from the evil Shade to the sidekick Huntress, the short but ingeniously dangerous Gizmo to the strong and deadly Mongul, and a little bit of moral ambiguity resting in Red Hood’s mask.  This guide will show you how to unlock these characters, along with the 9 Gold Bricks and 4 Vehicle Tokens lurking in the alleyways of Ace Chemicals.

Like all other interior gold bricks, this gold brick has multiple objectives inside.  For the first one, you’ll need to get the lead actress to come down to the stage using Poison Ivy’s poison.  In order to access the mixing tank, destroy the LEGO Ice Cream truck model by the stage and build the pieces into a mixing tank.  Then, go use a character with tracking at the three tracking spots in the auditorium to find the three flowers.  Finally, use a character with Grow to grow the flower on the left side of the stage.  After growing the large flower you can now access the vent and spray in the poison.

For the second part, you’ll need to configure the lights for the stage.  For this, you will have to use a character with Detective Vision to scan the door on the right side of the room to access the lights panel.  Now, at the lights panel you will have to move the lights around so they that are all overlapping together in the center (combining red, blue, and green together).

For the final part, the music, you will first need to go up onstage and play the QTE dancing game.  After doing so, a rope will appear on the left side of the stage.  Jump on it and a second one will appear.  Keep doing this until one of the sandbags that falls down drops you a gold brick.

 2. Graffiti Gold

To open the shutter, you need to disable all three power sources. The first is behind a gold wall, the second is on a silver panel that will require explosives, and the third is linked to a Technology maze puzzle right above the shutter.  The Technology puzzle will require you to reroute power from the yellow electricity symbol on the left-hand side to the blue lock in the lower-right corner.  Disabling all three power sources will open the shutter, where you can find your gold brick inside.

 4. Toxic Teamwork

Requirement: Already available.

For the first objective, the lights, you’re going to need to go to the locations in the first three images and push the green and red panel until the lights are shining on Sharkey.  Afterwards, for the microphone, we’ll head to the floor right in front of Sharkey and use a grapple character to pull down the chandelier, revealing the microphone.  Third, head to the back center of the room to the control panel shown in the fifth picture and pull down on the lever to pull the sign out of the water.  Finally, head to the left balcony and use a character with Detective Mode and Technology like Batman to find the hidden Technology panel.  Then, use the panel to activate the speakers.  After doing all four of these objectives, Sharkey will jump up, dance, sing, and then toss you your gold brick!

 6. A-Maze-Ing

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #4 “Toxic Teamwork”

Ace Chemicals A-Maze-Ing

For this gold brick, you’ll need to use a character with a drone and command the drone inside the maze.  To get the drone inside the maze, use the entrance shown in the picture above near Joker.  Once in the maze, you will need to walk over the red buttons by the gold brick.  Walking over each button will move the electric panels that block specific pathways in the maze, so after each button there’s only one specific button that you can go to next.  After pressing all four buttons, a panel will pop up and push the gold brick out of the maze, which you can now collect!

 7. Traffic Trouble

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #4 “Toxic Teamwork”

Ace Chemicals Traffic Trouble Ace Chemicals Traffic Trouble

Upon arriving at the site of Traffic Trouble, you’ll notice that the goons who took the radioactive waste in Toxic Teamwork have now crashed!  How unfortunate.  First, you’ll have to blow out the fire and destroy the blue car to the right of the truck and build the resulting pieces into some grapple points.  Then, use the minimap to locate and recruit three goons.  One is found at the truck, and the other two are found nearby (their locations are in the pictures).  After doing so, come back, pull the truck back up, and the goons will drive away and you’ll get your gold brick.

 8. Misdemeanor Mistake

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #3 “Shutter Shenanigans”

Ace Chemicals Misdemeanor Mistake

This puzzle is very simple.  To start, you will need a character with Detective Vision and X-Ray, and then scan the vending machine and access the x-ray puzzle inside.  You’ll immediately notice that there is a combination lock inside with six dials.  If you look around the environment, you’ll see a set of numbers on a movie poster that indicates that the code is 290186.  Inputting this code in the combination lock will open up the apartment the criminals are trying to break into, revealing your gold brick.

 9. The Conductor Says…

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #3 “Shutter Shenanigans”

Ace Chemicals The Conductor Says

This gold brick is very similar to the Polka Dot Man quest in Smallville.  You’ll have to step on the four buttons in the right order indicated by the screen.  Stepping on the colored buttons in the right order a few times will grant you your gold brick.
