The gang goes to face off against Kang once and for all.
Here’s a quick recap of the Boss encounters you faced during this level:
This is it. The fight you’ve been waiting for through the whole game. And you know what? It isn’t all that hard. I guess Kang, like most good comic book villains, is more full of bluster than skill. It rapidly becomes another bob and weave fight as he attempts to overwhelm you with minions. Focus your fire on Kang when you can and then take care of the trash when you can’t. Occasionally he opens portals bringing in bosses from previous levels, but they’re really just for show. Even the phase change, pitting Kang against Captain America in solo combat, is more about bravado than a real battle. Before you know it, Kang will be taken care of… albeit in an unexpected way.
Here are the Abilities you will need to 100% this level:
Minikit Ability Requirements
- Hacking, Electricity, Laser, Silver LEGO Destroy, Magic, Gyrosphere
Stan Lee Rescue Ability Requirements
- Small Access
You will need to collect 10 hidden minikits in this level to earn the Gold Brick for this mission! Here’s where you find them:
Kang’s Citadel – Minikit x 5
Right at the start of the level hop into the large clear purple tube and fly straight up.
Hacking The System
Directly above where you start the level is a small ledge with a HACKING TERMINAL. Solve the mini maze and collect the minikit.
Locate and destroy the three large silver statues of Kang in this part of the level using SILVER LEGO DESTROY. You can’t miss them.
Once you open the portal with Doctor Strange and use the technology panel to move the large gun, you can snag the slow moving minikit off the conveyer belt.
On the bottom level tucked away in the far right hand corner is an ELECTRICITY panel which when powered up will reveal two platforms. Hop back and forth from one panel to the other, following the studs, until they reach the top and unlock the minikit.
Kang Boss Battle – Minikit x 4
Find a mini model of Chronopolis in the lower right side of the room, destroy the chairs around it to reveal a switch. Hop on the switch to release the minikit.
On the left side of the room during the boss battle is a small door handle that can be moved with MAGIC. Open the door and snag the minikit.
Hide & Seek
Find a minikit free floating out of sight just below Kang’s console behind the staircase.
Once Kang begins messing with time and the Eye of Agamoto steps in to stop him, use Doctor Strange to ROLL BACK TIME (counter clockwise) so that the portal disappears, releasing a minikit right before it does.
Kang’s Control Room – Minikit x 1
Hook, Line & Sinker
On the front right side of the room under the uppder deck you can spot two GRAPPLE locations that can be pulled out releasing a minikit below.
Each level has one hidden Character Card for you to find and unlock! Plus you will unlock every character you play as (and possibly encounter) during the story mode for use during free play!
Character Card – The Grand Master (Thor:Ragnarok)
In the final part of the level in Kang’s control room, head to the upper deck’s left hand side and destroy the doorway made of glass with SONIC BOOM. Smash the stand inside to collect the character card.
Story Mode Character Unlocks:
Location: Kang’s Citadel
In the first portion of the level Stan is trapped behind a large wall of red glowing squares. Keep a close eye out and you’ll notice the bottom corner square keeps flashing. Shrink down with Ms. Marvel and use her SMALL ACCESS to jump through that small blinking spot. Destroy the consoles inside and assemble a switch to deactivate the wall.
You will need to collect approximately 80,000 studs to unlock the True Believer gold brick for this level!
