Wayne Island is home to the elusive billionaire Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman.  Beneath its rocky surface, you’ll find caverns and caves filled with man-made tech and trophies, along with vehicles and a heaping dose of sidekicks.  You’ll also spot many a tourist and criminal hopping around the island, looking for trouble to brew either way.  Among the island’s clever denizens are Calendar Man, Kite Man, Superboy, and Krypto.  This guide will show you how to unlock these characters, along with the eight gold bricks and two vehicles scattered around the rocky shores of Wayne Island.

Gold Bricks (8)

1. Not-So-Light House

Requirement: Already available.

On the lighthouse island, you’ll find two sets of valves you can turn, and two boomerang points to use a character like Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, or Batman in.  You’ll need to turn both sets of valves first to bring up missing Boomerang bouncing pads.  After that, you can now use the Boomerang points.  Note that one of these points is indoors in a darkened space, so you’ll need a character with Illumination and Boomerang.  Batman and Deathstroke add annoying Night Vision and Radio Static filters so I would suggest using a character like Deadshot.  Using each Boomerang point will disable one of the power boxes in the shack and disabling both will turn off the lighthouse.  Watch the poor sailor crash into the island and collect your gold brick by the coast!

 2. Totally Legitimate Merchandise

Requirement: Already available.

Right next to the booth selling Wayne Island merchandise, you’ll see a Poison Ivy mixing tank and a group of multi-colored flowers.  Destroying the group of flowers will give you your first flower for the mixing tank.  For your second one, you’ll need to swap over to Cheetah and use the tracking point seen in the back of the first picture above.  Tracking the footprints left behind will take you to the second group of flowers, which you will also need to destroy to get your second item.  Finally, head to the cracked wall in the distance behind the booth and break it open to find the third group of flowers, which will give you your final item.  Mix ’em all together and the salesperson will give you a gold brick!

 3. Breaking the Law-n

Requirement: Already available.

Wayne Manor Guide LEGO DC Super Villains breaking the law-n

Breaking the Law-n is a multi-task gold brick.  For your first task, you’re going to need a character with Telekinesis to pick up the Hedge Trimmer and cut a Question Mark shape out of the white outline like shown.  After you’re done cutting the hedge, you’ll be able to build the resulting pieces onto the lawnmower.  After that, destroy the flower box next to the lawnmower and build those pieces onto the lawnmower.  Power up the charging unit behind the mower, hop on, and cut some grass!  Riding over the grass pieces will destroy them.  Destroying all of them will give you your well-deserved brick!

 4. Maze Mayhem

Requirement: Already available.

For this one, you’ll have to do a certain type of puzzle three times, with the puzzle getting harder each time.  For the first one, power up the charging unit next to the puzzle. As you’ll notice, a spark will start moving through the wire.  Stepping on the button will move the red pieces in the wire. If the spark reaches a the end of a wire and there’s nowhere to go, the spark will fizzle out and you’ll have to start from the beginning.  You’re going to need to synchronize your button-steps at the right time.  You’ll have to do this two more times in the same area, and each additional one will have one more button type than the rest, ramping up the difficulty.  The later two puzzles can be very challenging, so before charging up the puzzle, try looking at the path you want the spark to take.  This will allow you to know when to step on what buttons, rather than just hopping around randomly.

 5. Hook, Line, and Brick

Requirement: Already available.

On the beach, three of the dig-able piles will give you buildable bricks when you dig them up.  Building these brick piles will add pieces of bait to each nearby fishing pole.  After you put bait on a pole, stepping on the button right on the pole when it is glowing will reel it in.  If you do this with all three fishing poles, the third one will reel in a shark who regurgitates your gold brick.  Yikes!

 6. The E.Nigma of Bruce Wayne

Requirement: Already available.

Note: This brick is inside Wayne Manor.

This gold brick, just like many other indoor gold bricks, has multiple objectives and parts.  For the first objective, the batarang, you’ll need to first snuff out the fireplace on the bottom floor, then step on one of the buttons and wait for the Riddler goon and Player 2 to join you.  After the buttons have been triggered, the wall will upon and grant access to a sliding puzzle.  Complete the sliding puzzle and you’ll complete the objective.

For the second objective, the window, you’ll need to build the two piles of bricks on the left that appeared after the batarang objective.  Build these into curtain drawers and then hop up on one of them and hang there.  Then, swap to Player 2 and jump on the other curtain drawer.  This will draw back both curtains and complete the objective.

For the painting objective, you’ll simply want to graffiti the Wayne Family painting.  This will blow up the painting, revealing a Batman portrait behind it, completing the objective.

For the telephone objective, you’ll need to attack the bookshelf on the right to reveal three grapple points.  Then, swap to Joker and recruit the two goons in the area.  Pull down the bookshelf and press the button to pull up the holomap on the base floor, completing the objective.

Finally, for the chandelier objective, you’ll simply need to stand right in front of the Batman painting on the upper level until the grapple prompt pops up, allowing you to tug down the chandelier, revealing the bat symbol, and completing the objective.

 7. Ain’t No Fountain High Enough

Requirement: Complete Gold Brick #3 “Breaking the Law-n” to access.

First off, solve the sliding puzzle near the fountain.  These puzzles can be tricky, so here’s some tips: if a piece is glowing after you move it, that means that the move was incorrect.  If you get studs after moving a piece, you’re going in the right direction!  After solving the puzzle, freeze the fountain with a character that has ice powers.  The henchman will jump right on and you’ll get your gold brick!

 8. There’s A Bat In My House

Requirement: Complete Gold Brick #6 “The E.Nigma of Bruce Wayne” to access.

The final gold brick on Wayne Island requires you to set three various traps for Batman.  Near the first one, the electric fences, there are three valves (yellow, blue, green), with yellow and blue on the top of the roof, and green near the bottom by the fences. You’ll want to spin the yellow and green valves once, and the blue valve twice. Power up the charging unit at the top near the blue valve, and bang, the fences will be powered up if you turned the valves correctly.

For the second objective, we want to open up a cage for ol’ Batsy.  Destroy the ventilation fan across from the cage and build the resulting pieces into a boom box.  This will set up the cage trap.

For the final trap, you’re going to be setting a bat-trap.  Use a character with graffiti to bust upon the wall, and build the pieces inside into some cheese to put on top of the trap.  Setting up all three of these traps will make the lead henchman give you your final gold brick.

First, you’ll need to pull Kite Man out of the tree with a grapple hook character.  After rescuing him, you’ll have to find various specialty pieces to repair his kite.  You can either pull up the map to view the locations of the pieces or use the radar and travel to the sites of the parts.  After finding all ten pieces, return to Kite Man to finish the quest.

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #4 “Maze Mayhem”

3-pensioner-pranks-superboy

Just like Calendar Man’s quest, you’ll have to head over to Stryker’s and create a custom character with the Swamp Monster helmet and torso.  Upon returning to Superboy, a short cutscene will play and you’ll complete the quest.

4. Best in Show-Business (Krypto)

4-best-in-show-business-krypto

In this quest, you’ll have to follow Krypto to three different locations on the map and take pictures of him with the environment.  Make sure to get both Krypto and the object in question in the frame!  As shown in the picture, green boxes will appear around Krypto and the environment when the picture is ready to be taken.

Vehicle Tokens (2)

 1. Gliding Around the Beach (Batwing)

Requirement: Requires Gold Brick #8 “There’s A Bat In My House”

1-gliding-around-the-beach-batwing

This challenge is a gliding race.  Some of the objective rings are quite high to reach, so make sure to continuously collect momentum and keep a good altitude throughout the race.  If you mess up, you can always switch to a flying character during the race.

2. Wayne Family Fun-Run

Requirement: Requires Character File Quest #2 “Eggs-Straction”

2-wayne-family-fun-run-bat-rocket

This challenge is a sprint race.  For this, you’ll want to use a character like Johnny Quick or Reverse Flash.  The race itself is quite simple, just a jog around Wayne Manor.  Be aware that the last final goals are in the hedge maze, so don’t get tripped up navigating through the tight space.
