Just like with the Hermione, Sloth and Buttercup minifigures, we were able to get our hands on an early figure for Beetlejuice! The infamous supernatural trickster is making his LEGO debut later this summer with his own Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions and for what ever reason his minifigure has hit the streets long before he’s even been formally revealed.
Update: Accidentally wrote Beetlejuice would be available later this month, corrected it to later this summer.
Here’s our quick video review of the figure, with some side by side comparison with other LEGO Dimensions characters:
The design is relatively simple and unfortunately doesn’t feature any new molds or unique accessories. His hair piece is a reused piece, an exact copy of the one used on the Doc Brown Dimensions minifigure, and it’s color is an interesting choice of green… We’re still not sure if we love the color or hate it.
We’re thrilled the head on the minifigure has two faces, a perturbed look and a happy smile. The body and legs of the figure are white with the classic black pinstripe printed on the front / back / arms. The body also features a nice tie detail on the front print.
For accessories, Beetlejuice comes with two fangs or bones… not quite sure what they are supposed to be.
While the figure isn’t exactly the most innovative or original one we’ve seen in the Dimensions line up, we are still certainly very excited to see it in game and explore the hub world.
