Early in the announcement of LEGO The Incredibles, many of the interviews with the game’s developers and creative team heavily hinted at Pixar easter eggs being hidden in the game. We speculated what characters might be included as secret unlocks, but with the recent reveal of the in game achievements for LEGO The Incredibles, we are finally getting our first look at the Pixar lineup!
Of course the most obvious is the “Just Keep Swimming” achievement which reveals directly that Dory will be a playable character.
Just Keep Swimming
Complete an underwater race as Dory.
What is less obvious is the achievement “Truly Incredible!” which shows a very grainy portrait of several characters posing with Bob aka Mr. Incredible. If you take a much closer look at the portrait you may begin to recognize the group hanging out with Bob.
The achievement is for completing all Family Builds, a new game mechanic that requires multiple Parr family members to work together to build things in game. The image associated with this achievement seems to imply that some, if not all, the Family Builds will be related to other Pixar franchises.
We may have already seen a sneak peek at one of these Pixar themed Family Builds in a recent trailer where Dash is seen zooming by an in game LEGO family build house from the movie Up.
We put together this handy graphic to help you help you make out the other characters in in the photo:
From these two achievement images we can confirm that LEGO The Incredibles will feature these other Pixar characters as playable:
- Woody (Toy Story)
- Bing Bong (Inside Out)
- Wall-E (Wall-E)
- Merida (Brave)
- Russell (Up)
- Dory (Finding Dory)
